Description
This is a very rare factory sealed 2 LP album by
Lukas Foss
featuring performances of
Bach-Malloch
"The Art Of Fuguing"
Town Hall Records / Sheffield Labs S-20
--------
Performances are by an ensemble of 40 Los Angeles string, woodwind & percussion players conducted by Lukas Foss
__________
It was recorded two different ways as an audio experiment. One version was recorded with a single stereo microphone, and another version was recorded with multiple microphones. This is the multiple mic version.
This album is a collaboration of audiophile greats. Town Hall Records is a division of Sheffield Labs, and this album is produced by LINCOLN MAYORGA. The mastering was done at THE MASTERING LAB. --- Note: Due to his close association with Lincoln Mayorga; this was probably mastered by DOUG SAX although he is not credited on the back of the album.
----------------
These albums were done in very small quantities for a select clientele. Finding one that is still sealed is a rare opportunity.
**************************************************** **************************************************** The gatefold jacket is in excellent condition with no splits and nice sharp corners. The plastic wrap is completely intact except for a tiny tear at the upper left corner.
