Description
Conservatively graded. Extremely rare remastered Best Of collection! A really nice overview of his 1980s career.
Fully play-tested: There are light scratches which result in some light crackles on the lead-ins and in during some of the quieter moments in songs, but it plays through and the light crackles never overwhelm the music. Many songs don't have any noticeable crackles. Conservatively graded, this play-tests in the solid VG range, but with a lot of VG+ moments. A lot of sellers would simply call this VG+. It sounds warm, but has the "vintage vinyl" sound, which works pretty well for listening to Luther on vinyl. Despite these imperfections, it was a real joy to listen to while play-testing.
The gatefold album jacket has some edgewear, particularly on the spine, and light ring-wear. It remains solid, with good color and no seam splits. The inner part of the gatefold is pristine. There are no cutouts, promo marks, writing, stickers, or stains. Grades as a strong VG or low VG+ album sleeve.
The conservative VG/VG grades are why this is priced lower than this rare set typically sells for. So if you don't mind these flaws, this is a great chance to get this rare release and enjoy the best moments of Luther Vandross' music.
The vinyl has been cleaned, handled with audiophile gloves (not hands), and stored and ships in an audiophile-quality anti-static inner sleeves. I also always store and ship albums in a protective 3 mil. plastic sleeve to keep these precious albums in excellent condition. This costs me a bit more, but it's worth it to ensure a high-quality record stays as pristine as possible.
Check out my listings for hundreds of other albums from this era. I always combine shipping for only $1 extra per additional record. Please just add them to your cart and checkout all at once.
I always properly pack and ship records quickly (from Florida, usually within 1 business day). Note that I fairly grade, provide detailed descriptions, and never use A.I. to write these, as doing so would be disrespectful to the buyer.
