LXT 2895 – ANSERMET / GENDRON – SCHUMANN / TCHAIKOVSKY
Decca mono recording on orange/gold label catalogue no. LXT 2895. Maurice Gendron (cello) playing Schumann’s Cello Concerto in A minor Opus 129, and Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme for Cello and Orchestra Opus 33 with Ernest Ansermet conducting the L’Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
The disc has an unplayed appearance: we have not played it. The flimsy card sleeve is scruffy and dirty with a 3cm split at bottom right corner.
