Their music has been compared to Circle Takes The Square and mewithoutYou. They were named by Alternative Press as one of "The 100 Bands You Need to Know" in their April 2010 issue, saying'La Dispute are more than a band; they're veritable artists, concentrating deeply on every aspect of their songs. Musically, their fully developed, experimental post-hardcore compositions paint passionately lush soundscapes.'
