La Spagna Gregorio Paniagua BIS LP 163
The Atrium Musicae de Madrid directed by Gregorio Paniagua performs Spanish Music of the 15th, 16th and 17th Centuries, not only by Spanish composers, but themed music such as “Spagna” by Hans Weck, and “La Spagna a 5” by Josquin des Prez. A two record set, this is a German stereo pressing on the BIS Label (BIS LP 163/164), the records are of excellent appearance and play and sound superb (as one would expect from this source) with a minimum of surface noise. The gatefold cover’s has rubbed a little.
