Description
Laurel & Hardy Monarch LP024
This has some magic history to it according to my aunt - her sister, my other aunt was a professional
singer in London in the 1980s - her name was Ann Guerin. She sang at the BBC and with many large bands
She was friends with head of Music at the BBC - Ronnie Hazelhurst who was responsible for organising some
of the Uk based European Song contests. In 1982 Ann did some work for recording studios and on this LP
it is signed by Ronnie Hazelhurst and an American pianist/somg writer called Marvin Hatley.
RH signs it "To Ann, good luck Ronnie Hazelhurst" MH signs "Another fine record you got me onto T.M. hatley"
The signatures are strong and legible but biro fading a little. The LP itself is in great condition with lots of
those hilarious and very entertaining songs.
Hazelhurst composed signature tunes for the Two Ronnies, Generation Game, Last of the Summer Wine
and was responsible for playing these tunes on the Generation Game
