Description

Le Helf ?– Dirge For Lennon 7". Released on Etc Records.  Released on their own label in 1981, “Dirge For Lennon” is a pseudo-tribute to John Lennon,  based around vocals, tape loops, guitars and audio manipulation. The other side is “100 seconds of silence”. The 7” is packaged in a sealed printed  paper envelope sleeve. Little is known about Le Helf, and I was unable to find out anything about the artist or history, other than that they were from Long Island NYC. I’m definitely getting a loner / DIY /  bedroom experimental punk vibe based on location and scarcity of information. This record was released in a printed envelope sleeve, and this copy is STILL SEALED and mint.  Never opened! Copies that show up for sale are never sealed and mint, so this is a good chance to get this very obscure record before it becomes a true heavy hitter.
