Description
Here's an amazing debut from LED ZEPPELIN LP from 1969. This copy was pressed in 1977. This album was actually recorded as a NEW YARDBIRDS album, but Chris Dreja formally of The Yardbirds informed Jimmy Page that he didn't have the rights to the name. So in late '68 a new name was born after a conversation with The Who's drummer, Keith Moon, who said this music would go over like a lead zeppelin. To avoid confusion with the work lead, which could associate with lead singer, they shortened it to Led. And, unless you were there at the time, there were few LPs that knocked you over the way this did upon first listen. Are you experienced is another one... The LP showed the power of blues music when electrified to the max. The LP, and subsequent ZEP LPs were the climax to the Britt Invasion love affair with blues music.
This copy is a 1977 pressing, and is super clean, and sounds amazing. Plays perfectly with deep los and great overall range and clarity. This is one of those records that you think there's a ton of copies around because it sold like hot cakes. But, then you try to find a super clean copy, and realize how few there are to be found. Here's a great copy.
