All LPs are from my own personal collection and are being sold to finance other items.
This LP has been play graded on the following system:
Rega Planar 3 with AT440MLB cartridge, Rega IO Amp, Rega RS1 speakers.
This LP has been cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S Vinyl Cleaner and comes in a ’Nagaoka’ type anti static sleeve placed in the inner sleeve that came with the LP.
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin 1. Atlantic 588171. Original 1969 UK. Corrected Matrix.
According to Discogs this is a 2nd Pressing Version 6 1969:
Orange Atlantic on front corner of sleeve, grey stripe along front bottom edge, plum/red labels, corrected matrix number 58#8171 on both sides.
Matrix: 58#8171 A//1 1 2 58#8171 B//1 1 01
Disc Condition:
Audio: Overall great audio. Lots of crackle and clicks throughout, some clicks are persistent and can be intrusive during quiet passages, however the audio is strong, dynamic and clear with a well defined soundstage. No jumps when played on my system.
Visual: Lots of light marks visible, especially under bright light, these sound as crackle and clicks. Otherwise bright and clean.
Labels: Plum/Red. Some light spindle marks, overall bright and clean.
Sleeve Condition:
Laminated. Orange Atlantic, grey stripe. Edges & corners rubbed, some brown spots, odd marks, some creasing of laminate. Overall bright and clean.
Inner Sleeve: Plain “Plastic bags can be dangerous” inner, correct patent numbers, no issue date, unsure if original, but contemporary. Creased, mark/residue where label removed.
Despite lots of crackle and clicks throughout, this is still a great sounding copy, the audio is strong, dynamic and clear with a well defined soundstage. A really great listen.
