'Following the staggering reunion triumph at the O2, which I was lucky enough to be at, with interest in Led Zeppelin greater than ever, with the site for the Ahmettribute.com tribute concert receiving an unbelievable 120 million hits, with 25 million people apparently registering for a Zeppelin ticket, its as good a time as any to invest in an original copy early press of this classic Zep album.'

Led Zeppelin was recorded in October 1968 at Olympic Studios in London and released on Atlantic Records on 12 January 1969. The album featured integral contributions from each of the group's four musicians and established Led Zeppelin's fusion of blues and rock. Led Zeppelin also created a large and devoted following for the band, with their unique   heavy sound endearing them to a section of the counterculture on both sides of the Atlantic.

Led Zeppelin had a fully formed, distinctive sound from the outset, as their eponymous debut illustrates. Taking the heavy, distorted electric blues of Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, and Cream to an extreme, Zeppelin created a majestic, powerful brand of guitar rock constructed around simple, memorable riffs and lumbering rhythms. But the key to the group's attack was shaded and textured, filled with alternating dynamics and tempos.

As Led Zeppelin proves, the group was capable of such multi-layered music from the start. Although the extended psychedelic blues of "Dazed and Confused," "You Shook Me," and "I Can't Quit You Baby" often gather the most attention, the remainder of the album is a better indication of what would come later.

"Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" shifts from folky verses to pummeling choruses; "Good Times Bad Times" and "How Many More Times" have groovy, bluesy shuffles; "Your Time Is Gonna Come" is an anthemic hard rocker; "Black Mountain Side" is pure English folk; and "Communication Breakdown" is a frenzied rocker with a nearly punkish attack.   The album brought the band exploding into the public consciousness, and marked a significant turning point in the evolution of contemporary music.

THE VINLY

Totally unmarked virgin vinyl. What are the chances of being able to purchase a pressing of the this great album, that has never been played. Completely unmarked, with guaranteed perfect as new Audio.

That means TOP audio,  - NO audio blurring, NO distortion, NO background noise or hiss, and virtual silence between the tracks.

Visually immaculate, this is a superb piece of glossy vinyl, and a really thick pressing. Deep clear grooves , this vinyl is gleaming and unplayed. The record has an amazing shine, with NO scratches, NO hairlines. Inspected under a spot light, there are NO paper removal marks, in fact, no marks what so ever. Fantastic!

This is a stunning example, truly archive quality, and the ultimate final upgrade.

Please Note: This vinyl is UNPLAYED but I have carefully tested it to ensure the sound quality, as new vinyls can still have audio flaws or poor audio quality.

THE LABELS - MINT

A stunning set of labels, completely unmarked and perfect. Absolutely beautiful, you wont find better! Unmarked as you would expect from an unplayed vinyl.

Both labels are in great condition and carry the famous Super Hype / Jewel Music Publishing credit.

Great all round deep coloured examples, wonderful!

VINYL TESTED FOR ANY SIGNS OF WARPING:

Yes, NONE visible what so ever when tested be sight and on a moving turntable.

THE COVER – MINT

This is a very superb cover too. MINT factory fresh condition. Stunning example, clean and ultra white. Superb!

These thin card covers usually fair pretty badly, often being bent and misshaped and damaged before they get to the shops. Not this one!

NO scuffing to the corners, and no rubbing along the edges. The opening edges are very square and totally un frayed.  A great example. All round, this is a really nice original cover in MINT condition!!!

INNER SLEEVE - MINT Condition

Comes with poly lined white inner sleeve, to protect the records -  NO SEAM SPLITS, COMPLETELY UNMARKED IN ANY WAY.

RARITY

These TURQUOISE PRESSES are relatively scarce. Any EARLY UK PRESS examples with a record in this type of condition, that plays with TOP AUDIO is very rare.

The cover is almost impossible to find without some wear, even modestly worn examples are scarce and this one is one is perfect.

THIS A FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY TO OWN AN EXTREMELY RARE PIECE OF MUSICAL HISTORY, WITH A WONDERFUL RICH SOUND THAT IS NOW GETTING SERIOUSLY HARD TO FIND.

A FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY TO OWN AN EXTREMELY RARE AND VALUABLE PIECE OF MUSICAL HISTORY.

GREAT COVERS WITH NO SEAM SPLITS, NO TEARS, NO WRITING, NO STICKERS.

GREAT VINYLS WITH NO LOUD CLICKS OR POPS, NO JUMPS OR REPEATS - GUARANTEED!

SCRUPULOUS EXAMINATION and TESTING; PLEASE NOTE:

This record has been play tested on highly sensitive equipment to ensure the sound quality and accuracy of description. I aim to give a precise and concise description of the sound quality, pointing out any defects so that you know what you are buying. I will not go into screeds of information about the nature of the songs, as I imagine that you already know them well. I aim to describe all items as accurately as possible, and offer a full refund on return if for any reason you are not completely happy with the item description.

.

VINYL SOUND - PLEASE NOTE:

The highest quality vinyl with clear sound is rare, and is what I always aim for. I only sell records that play with TOP AUDIO performance, super clear sound uninterrupted by hiss or other interference. Even with the cleanest copies you will find occasional static sound or occasional light tics during playback, caused by a build of dust in the grooves. This is clearly different from the distortion, loud pops, repeating tics or clicks that are found on heavily played and worn pieces of vinyl. Any static build up will reduce when played, and I advise a light clean should be given between plays for optimal performance.

VINYL

Large format art work covers with the original sound and mix unique to vinyl and of the highest quality audio. Vinyl record have always been loved and have become a great investment opportunity, with prices soaring over the last ten years, making classic pieces a great financial as well as a cultural investment.
