Description
I bought this set from Classic Records back in 2003. I opened and listened to I, II, III and the Stairway to Heaven 45 EP one time each (on my Redpoint Testa Rosa with SME 3012 and Ortofon SPU). The IV album is still sealed, never listened to. The 4 that were opened are in perfect condition, NO scratches or damage. I am very careful with my LP's, expecially with my 200g copies. One corner of the box enclosure (the bottom half) has a spot which has come un-taped (the adheasive has gotten weak and popped loose). There is no tearing or ripping here, just came loose - if you look you'll see it in some of the photos. This set cost $200 when new (I can include the original invoice if you want it) - and boxed sets are priced over $1200 (for a still sealed set). You know of course that these are not available anymore and Classic Records, as we knew them, are now gone.
If you are a listener, and not a collector, this would be your chance to get this rockin' set. I can tell you, THIS is the set to have - on a well set up table, I have never heard a better replay of this music. Dead quite between tracks, presence that places each musician on a stage (if you close your eyes, you can see them therem in the room with you).
