Unfortunately I can't track down what year this was pressed but Tim Young worked between 1976 and 1993 so more than likely within the 1980's, definitely not a modern repress.
This example is in absolutely beautiful condition, sleeve, record and audio all great - a real credit to the previous owner.
All of my records are play tested on a Project Debut Carbon with 2M Red stylus which is quite revealing so any sound defects may be more exaggerated than on other more mainstream players. Or conversely if you are a full on audiophile I will let you judge how your set up compares and how you envisage the sound will compare.
I don't currently have access to a cleaning machine so please forgive any dust or finger marks which are on any of my records - hopefully will be investing in one at some point.
Record Appearance - NM It's very rare I grade a record of this age Near Mint but I really can't see a mark on it, possibly the faintest of whisper mark under a bright light. Stunning as new glossy finish on both sides, has been machine cleaned by a previous owner I would say. Labels are in perfect condition, there aren't even any spindle marks so obviously not played very much.
Record Audio - NM Not surprising with the physical condition playback is night on perfect and don' recall hearing any surface noise, maybe a hint on run in. The sound quality is really nice, lovely clarity to the highs especially. Doesnt have the clumsy bass boosting from other reissues, very nice. I have a nice first pressing in my personal collection and this is very similar in clarity, perhaps just little less low end.
Record Sleeve - VG+/NM Very close to near mint just a little shelf wear on the corners and on the spine where the sleeve folds there is a white line on the black ink - unavoidable unless left sealed. Front and rear faces are absolutely perfect, no marks and perfect colour lustre and no ring wear. Spinning wheel works perfectly also, overall mouth watering condition. Records are in period white inner sleeves and are in good condition.
