Description
I am not a collector or knowledgeable about records. My description is based on simple observation and research. This set is directly from a collector's vault (closet). Do not count my descriptions as official grading, although these are my honest observations. The set appears to be a US release, according to the label.
The records looks pristine to me. Since the vault contained many recorded cassettes, I would say these records probably were played once to make tapes. This is reasonable as the collector was a rhythm and blues man and admired LZ. Records are unscuffed, bright and shiny. The box, however, has been scuffed in storage (pics). The sleeves are tearing at the bottom. Undoubtedly from the records rolling around in the box in storage. The book looks pristine as the collector was not much of a reader. Beautiful concert pics, many full page, and lots of text. I didn't read it either as LZ is after my youth. This collector bought for investment. I doubt the box was opened more than once or twice. The vinyl has the bright shine of new records. This set will be difficult to pack as I will separate the parts in a large (for records) box. I will estimate about five pounds by media mail. Starting low compared to others to get the ball rolling. Lots of stuff has to go.
