Description

HOTH a 1st pressing from 1973 on the French Atlantic label. Matrix MPO A/B. Etching 'RL Sterling'. Please note the record labels hold the typo error of the album title 'House of The Holy' - where's the "s" gone - ha? The record comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Also included is the original inner sleeve. 100% complete & 100% original.
Vinyl (Ex+) Remains in fantastic condition and has clearly seen only light use. It looks shiny like new and there's barely a single mark visible even under close inspection. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and in betweens are really quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity and very little interference. HOTH is a really tough test for record preservation as a lot of the material is low-key stuff and interference tends to stand out. This copy, however, is tremendously well preserved and has been very carefully looked after. Even in 'No Quarter' - there's only a couple of minute crackles - it really is that good! These early copies were mastered and manufactured to much higher standards than later issues. The sound quality really is a treat to behold.
Cover (Ex) Fantastically well preserved. The front and back are almost totally free from marks or creases. Edge wear is pretty minimal and the cover retains much of its original rigidity. The spine is entirely intact. You'll struggle to better it....
Inner (Ex) Again, amazingly well preserved. No splits at all.
