Description

Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy.  This is the first US pressing from the original 1973 release year.  Pressed at the Presswell plant and mastered by RL (Robert Ludwig).  Released by Atlantic (catalog SD 7255) and the labels have the 1841 Broadway address and no WEA logo on rim text.  The original white paper ribbon with the band name and title around the cover is long gone but the original textured inner sleeve is present, though I will ship the disc in an audiophile sleeve.
This is a great pressing IMO, the sound comes through loud and clear.  I have cleaned this twice ultrasonically and by hand multiple times with different cleaners I use and the results have been fantastic.  The record plays almost perfectly but there are a few imperfections -- (1) at the end of A3 there is a fade-out then fade-in, in between these you may hear a little static, (2) during B3, I hear a sequence of 4 minor pops.  None of this really interferes with the music, but we believe in full disclosure here and that results in a vinyl grade of VG despite the high quality play of the rest of the disc.
The cover grades as VG+ with sharp corners with just a little wear, spines in great shape, no noticeable ringwear and the original inner sleeve in great condition.
Amazing condition for a first pressing.  Only one owner in its history and has been kept constantly in a heated/cooled/humidity controlled environment over its life.    International buyers please message so we can get shipping cost right before you pay.
