Description

Led Zeppelin I. 12” Vinyl Crossover Pressing K40031, Atlantic 1972.
This is from my personal collection- I’m an avid listener/collector, not a dealer. My Hi-Fi system is currently in storage, so this is being sold as seen. I’ve tried to take representative images of the condition of the cover and vinyl, and also tried to capture the ‘worst’ parts! Although I’ve cleaned it with my anti-static brush, it could probably do with a clean using record cleaning fluid.
In general; - The vinyl has the lightest of surface marks. - Cover has some bumps, creases, marks and light scuffs. Starting to delaminate down spine. - After some time on Discogs, I finally identified this version (I think!) as the 1972 ‘Crossover Pressing’ that was produced for a short period of time- it has the old and new matrix runouts; Matrix / Runout (Runout Area Side A, Stamped/Etched): K 40031 A1 PN Matrix / Runout (Runout Area Side B, Stamped): K 40031 B 588171 B ▽ 4 1 1 (the etched PN refers to Pete Norman, mastering credit).
If you would like any more images, or have any questions, please just ask and I’ll happily provide. I’m also selling plum labels Led Zep II and Led Zep IV- check out my other listings- happy to combine postage.
This will be sent carefully packed (in a new Meg4tec 12” cardboard mailer box) and by Royal Mail Tracked 48.
