An original Xmas 1971 copy of Zep II on UK Atlantic Red & Plum. Matrix A5/B4. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original dark-brown [correct for this period] E J Day printed cover. Please note there's an Atlantic/Kinney sticker showing on the right panel of the interior - this mentions the re-cataloguing that was in process around Xmas-1971 and helps puts quite an accurate date on manufacture. Also included is an original plastic bag warning inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+/Ex-) In very nice condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection we could only make a few light marks either side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are mostly nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. We picked up a bit of audible background as side 1 starts up and then just a touch momentarily as side 1 closes out, and in the harmonica start to 'Bring It On Home'. Nothing invasive or persistent, just some static that glides in and then out again. By and large this is a very nice player and for the most part delivers an impressive rendition.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has clearly been looked after. Nice and clean front - do expect some light ageing toward the edge, but otherwise looking very nice. There's a bit more handling wear on the rear - but still very respectable. The interior looks great - no issues. There's some edge wear in places, but nothing too bad. The spine is exhibiting some edge wear - so don't expect to be able to make out the text. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits.
