Description
You are looking at an absolute stunning copy of Mobile Fidelity's 1982 lp pressing of Led Zeppelin II. This beautiful Near Mint copy was obtained from an estate where the owner opened this record and played it ONCE to transfer to a reel to reel tape deck. It was then stored until I purchased it. THERE ARE NO SPINDLE MARKS WHATSOEVER on each label side! The labels are perfect. The vinyl shines like the day it was opened. Check out my pictures. The cover is also near perfect. There are no marks, stains, rips or wear of any kind. The only reason I don't call this Mint is because the lp is not sealed. The spine shows no wear and the very delicate top area of the cover is in perfect condition. Usually, on open Mofi releases, the top of the cover tends to show shelf or finger damage to the area where the words "Original Master Recording" is printed. Not on this copy. This lp looks like the day it was removed from the outer plastic bag.
The sound on this Mobile Fidelity copy is jaw-dropping. The bass is deep and the sound stage is wide. Mofi did a great job in obtaining and transferring the music from the original master tape. The vinyl surface, as on all MFSL releases, is super quiet based on the JVC "super-vinyl" that Mofi used back when the company began in the late 1970s. Hold this record up to a light and you can see right through it. The sound on this pressing is superior to the Classic Records 200 gram version released several years back. And don't even think that there is a CD version out there that does this release any justice. Also, many of the standard vinyl pressings absolutely pale in comparison to this MFSL version. You must hear this to understand just how good Led Zeppelin II can really sound.
