Description
Led Zeppelin II Original UK 2nd Press on Orange & Plum Atlantic Label
This is the original 2nd press with A4 track title misprint on the label where THANKYOU is printed instead of THANK YOU.
The item also comes with the earlier 'light' coloured non-laminated E. J. Day gatefold sleeve. This was replaced by a darker coloured sleeve for subsequent pressings.
The condition of the record is as follows:
Sleeve: Good +
The sleeve has been used and enjoyed over the years but is still in a respectable condition.
It shows visible signs of storage wear including rounded corners & ring wear and there is sellotape residue on the top edge of both internal panels of the gatefold.
The spine is well worn but is protected by a neatly placed piece of sellotape.
Despite this, there are no major defects; no rips, creases or writing.
Disc: Very Good
Led Zep II has some of their most classic songs, and this is a great copy to listen to it on.
The disc retains its original gloss sheen but plenty of surface marks can be seen in the light. One mark causes three pops on 'Thank You'.
The vinyl is a thoroughly enjoyable listen but does play with some crackle.
The label on side one has a name written on it, otherwise the labels are clean with minimal spindle wear.
A great copy of a 52 year old record.
Inner: Very Good
The inner sleeve is a period original stamped by 'Hitsville Records' from Sheffield, the original seller.
Although slightly discoloured there is no rips, creases or writing.
Also included is an audiophile quality anti-static inner sleeve that the vinyl is stored within.
Overall a very respectable copy of a sought after and collectable record.
The record will be sent in a polythene outer sleeve within a padded vinyl mailer.
