Description
Up for bid is a rare copy of Led Zeppelin II mastered by Robert Ludwig. RL and SS (for Sterling Sound) are etched in the deadwax on both sides of the LP. As you can see from the photos, the suffix following the catalogue number is MO.
The outer jacket is in VG condition. The front and back are pretty clean. There is some edge wear, the corners are dinged, and it looks like a cat got at one corner a little bit. The spine is very legible. The top seam is completely split, and the edge of the opening flap of the gatefold is also halfway split.
The LP visually grades VG- but play grades a strong VG. It has lots of gloss. There are a goodly number of light marks covering the lp, a few of which (though not many) are lightly feelable. I play tested this and thought it sounded a lot better than it looked. Yes, there was some surface noise but it was the kind of thing that you only really notice during quiet passages. I didn't detect any loud pops or clicks and the noise certainly didn't overpower the music. If I didn't already have a very clean copy of this lp, I could easily live with this copy. And every thing you've heard about this pressing is true--it really does kick ass.
This will ship in a brand new poly-lined inner sleeve.
Shipping
I ship in sturdy cardboard mailers and use plenty of packing material. LPs are placed in plastic sleeves prior to shipping.
For domestic buyers: Shipping is just 4.00 media mail and 8.00 priority mail for the first LP/78. Each additional LP/78 will cost another 50 cents. LPs that have bids of over 50.00 will receive free insurance and tracking.
For International buyers: I ship USPS Priority Mail International. For Canada and Mexico, the cost is 15.00 for the first LP/78 plus 3.00 for each additional LP/78. For everyone else, the cost is 30.00 for the first LP/78 plus 3.00 for each additional LP/78. International buyers are responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, and fees.
