Label: Atlantic SD 8236 (!st Press Rare Robert Ludwig/ Sterling Sound RL/SS stamped on both sides of trailoff..."pre-RECALL".....record was recalled because sound quality was too high for cheaper record players..
Year: 1969
Disc Grade: VG+, first of all, the sound Fidelity is very very good...big, bassy, clear dynamics..and the record can be enjoyed from beginning to end without noticable disturbance....still good gloss...however there are lots of marks...none of the marks with the exception of one produces noticable noise. The marks are mostly superficial paper/dust "swipes"...there are only a few spindle marks per lable...lables are very clean....there is one heavier mark (not a needle mark, a smudge)...that produces a very very faint "snips" way behind the music (and only audible at light passages)there is very light background noise only audible at light passages...all in all, many sellers would call this strong VG, or even VG+....lots of light marks...maybe no needle marks...and excellent sound

*Our records are professionally and conservatively graded using a strict interpretation of Goldmine Price Guide's internationally adopted record grading standard....please shop with complete confidence!
*All records are professionally cleaned with VPI HP-17 record cleaner before grading
- SS = Still Sealed; New
- M = Mint; I rarely ever use this grade..only if an open record appears to have never been out of its inner sleeve
- M- = Mint Minus; A near perfect probably unplayed cpy
- VG+ = Very Good Plus; close to like new with only superficial signs of use that won't affect paly. Only well cared for records will grade out VG+. Will satisfy all but the most demanding collector
- VG = Very Good; A used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice
- VG- = Very Good Minus; significant wear and marks and usually quite noticable surface noise.
- G+ = Good Plus; A heavily scuffed, noisey sounding record
