Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Excellent Minus (Supremely sharp and clear sound, hardly any noticeable audible crackle at all throughout the tracks, very quiet and hardly any noticeable background noise in between tracks, quiet on the run ins and run offs, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, no serious loud pops or clicks that are noticeable apart from some barely audible clicks per revolution on parts of ‘since I’ve been loving you’. Excellent Minus sound quality (Playtested 23rd July 2008)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Excellent (less than three or four handfuls or so of very light superficial hairline marks over both sides of the record, these do not affect playback in any way, there are no seriously deep or raised feelable scratches that might affect playback in sight though, there may be some additional light paper traces/paper scuffing from the the record being placed in and out of the inner sleeve under bright light but as a rule the record is clean and the surface is not badly marked, looks to have been played on quite a number occasions by looking at spindle marks but it has been looked after and cared for very well, labels are clean with no rips/tears to the labels, there is only very slight wear around the spindle holes, no pen marks or writing on the labels, nice sheen to the record, overall a decent copy visually compared to most Led Zeppelin records you see that generally turn up badly marked and played to death)

Album Cover Grade: Excellent (some light creasing to the top right front corner and a very very slight bottom right front corner crease but you can barely see it, no major creasing to the rear corners, no serious laminate lifting or peeling to the front or rear sleeve, there is no spine splits and there is no spine rubbing/wear and the spine is clearly legible, no rear G/F top edge or bottom edge splits and there is no wear/rubbing to the rear top or bottom edges on the G/F, the front G/F sleeve top and bottom edges are not split either, only very slight corner rubbing, no major rips or tears in the sleeve, very minimal ringwear on the front and back that is noticeable, there is no pen marks/writing on the sleeve either, hardly any noticeable discolouration/staining, rotating wheel sleeve is fully working, overall a decent sleeve)

All records are graded in complete honesty and with the utmost scrutiny. All records listed have been playtested by me and will not jump, stick, or skip in any way. I have been collecting records now for approximately 12 years and have amassed quite a collection and have decided now is the time to reduce the collection in size. The quality of items listed generally varies but most of the time will be in Excellent condition or thereabouts. If it higher or lower than Excellent then it will be mentioned in full detail in the grading section above. Most of the records that will be listed will be from the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970s. The genre's will vary from prog rock, soul, reggae, rock n roll, beat, pop, psych. I will not be offering any classical records for sale though. I have some huge rarities in my collection and all will be up for sale at some point in the next year or so. MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
