'Plum' Atlantic pressing on red/white/plum label.
This is the 5th of 9 known 'plum' label variations. Specific features for this: • 'Marketed by Polydor Records Limited' at 6 o'clock. • 'Under license from Atlantic Recording Corpn.' in white area under 'Atlantic' on left side. • 'Led Zeppelin' is printed above spindle hole. (Variation 3 had a printed label in smaller type-face, and Variations 1 and 2 had the band name printed below the spindle hole in the 'plum' section.) • Catalogue number at 3 o'clock above circular 'Atlantic' logo reads 'deluxe 2401012' • There is no 'Executive Producer Peter Grant' credit on the label but the printed inner sleeve still retains the credit. • Side B has the following error: 'Misty Mountain Hop' is misspelt as 'Misty Mountain Top'.
ABOUT THIS COPY:
The gatefold sleeve is in very good order all round, only very light signs of use and storage, some rubbing on front and top of spine; intact , no rips and great inside gatefold - see photos
The STH lyrics original inner is good, small tear on top. As ever, from holding the record, it has worn at the sides and they are split, but still intact. Replacement anti static sleeve included to save it further, so nice to have...
No writing on labels, some light wear in the centre from past use - all round excellent
A few light detectable hairlines only on the vinyl - really looks great for its age, a lovely copy
Plays excellent - no jumps/loud pops, really great loud sound; occasional light crackle between tracks - hear rock n roll loud n proud in the video clip
PLEASE VIEW ALL THE PHOTOS AND THE VIDEO/AUDIO CLIP; LOW START, NO RESERVE; 7-DAY AUCTION OR A VERY TEMPTING? BUY IT NOW UNTIL BIDS COME IN...
