Description
An original 1st press of Zep IV on the UK Atlantic label. Matrix A3/B3 - very 1st cut. Please note there's a print error on the side 2 label - the licencing statement has been obscured by the word 'Atlantic'. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Also included is the original textured lyric inner sleeve [with flip-overs per 1st issue]. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+) In very nice condition despite having seen light to moderate use. Do expect a few light marks either side - nothing heavy or sinister. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, VERYGOOD+ level of playback with one deviation. This is a really nice level of playback from start to finish. Ok, ok, it's not going to make the top grades, but in reality it's not a million miles away either. The audio is relatively clean with no persistent interference at all. Do expect a few crackles in a few spots, but in reality nothing even close to being invasive. The only deviation is in 'Black Dog'. There's a brief non-repeating skip which renders the line 'watch your honey drip' inaudible. Other than expect a very decent level of playback.. I couldn't help being impressed even in the acoustic tracks - which are usually a real bugger to find playing well. Please note there's a bit of foxing on the labels.
Cover (Vg) In nice condition, but showing its age in one or two spots now. The front looks ok with just that sticker removal mark top right corner. The rear is ok, but with some handling wear in places. The interior looks nice - no issues at all. There's edge wear, but it doesn't appear to have worn through anywhere. Do expect a bit more wear on the spine - nothing epic though. Overall the cover still retains very good rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Nice surfaces, but the sides have split and needed taping up to secure them.
