Led Zeppelin - IV
(Atlantic 2401012 UK LP 1971)
This is a UK original LP pressing. It has a matt gatefold sleeve. Interestingly this is a transitional press. It has a UK original sleeve which has a "Kinney" catalogue sticker on the rear sleeve. Distribution for Atlantic records changed in the UK from Polydor to Kinney circa late 1971-1972. Obviously Kinney were utilising old Polydor stock. It comes with its original lyric/ tracklisting inner sleeve. This is printed on textured paper. There is also an extra polythene lined plain inner sleeve.
The record has red & maroon "Atlantic" labels & has 1st press A3/ B4 matrix stampers. "Porky" and "Pecko Duck" are etched in the dead wax. It has the Jimmy Page production credit.
Gatefold Sleeve: There is some more moderate rubbing wear to the bottom edge. There is some light to mild rubbing wear to the spine & top edge. VG+ condition.
Vinyl: There are some mild to more moderate sleeve rubs which can be viewed under a strong light. There are about 13 light marks too. These vary in size from 1 cm to 5 cm. Good condition. The labels show mild foxing to mild spindle wear. Plays VG to VG+ overall. There is some light or very mild crackle in some quieter places. There are a few light clicks near the start of "Stairway...". It doesn't last too long. Overall a reasonable audio copy!
The inner sleeve has a seam split along the entirety on the bottom seam. There is a 2 cm seam split at the centre of one side too. There is also a small 2 cm tear at the top opening on one side. It is in VG- condition overall.
Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
Postage for 1 LP in the UK is £4.50. You can add one extra LP for free (up to the weight of 1kg).
Postage for 1 LP in Europe is £6.85 to £8.00 (depending on weight). Add £1.25 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Postage for 1 LP for the rest of the world is £9.00 to £11.75 (depending on weight). Add £2 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £20. Overseas buyers will add £5.50 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
