PLEASE READ ALL DESCRIPTIONS BELOW BEFORE BIDDING.......12" vinyl LP with gatefold outer cover and original inner - with printed lyrics of Stairway to Heaven..
Original 1971 Gt Britain edition.
Red & plum Atlantic label with stickers ( see photos )
Deluxe
No warping......been stored upright in LP case in cool spare room for more years than I care to remember.....probably not listened to for 30++ years ! Starting to sell my old 1970's & 1980's collection as I no longer have a record deck - this album owned from new.Outer cover – although whole with no rips, it has become a little frail around the edges. The opening edge is very good. The spine is a little frayed and two of the side edges have splits where the album has "sawed" its way through. I've attached one photo of this - both splits are similar in size - about 2" - 4" but only obvious when you put a hand inside the cover.
Inner Sleeve – this is also whole with no rips, opening edge very good - but as the material is a very thin fibrous brown paper the album has damaged it from moving around inside. The bottom edge has old sellotape covering a slit - but both side edges also have slits - one about 2", the other about 5". (From what I can see from other copies sold on ebay, this is very common, nearly all of these inners have splits.)
Album - Looked at this under strong sunlight...
Side 2 looks pretty good, a few very fine surface scratches - though I can't feel them when I rub my fingers across them.
Side 1 has a few scratches.... most look quite fine & again I can't feel them - except there is one scratch over the first third of the "Stairway to heaven" track that I can feel. I don't remember it jumping but suspect this will be audible..... Please bear this in mind before bidding.
Vinyl has PECKO & PORKY DUCK markings - plus stickers on both sides of label to correct the credits to Jimmy Page.
1971 " Made in Gt. Britain" edition.
PLEASE READ !!!!
I am not a dealer, or business seller….these are from my own collection.
I have described them here as best I can - but must repeat, I no longer have a record deck so cannot check the sound ….. you will have to assume if I can see no damage, it should play.
Please read all these details carefully, bearing in mind the age of the cover & sleeve there will be some minor wear even on some of the albums I hardly ever used.
Please look at the photos carefully - I will try to show any defects I can see……if you would like more photos, please message me & I will be happy to take more for you.
Bear in mind, if you bid & win - what you see is what you get !

Thank you for looking. On 11-Apr-17 at 16:16:16 BST, seller added the following information:
**** AMENDMENT - please read...
since listing this auction the album has been on a few car rides !!!… I took it to
my sister who lent it to a colleague overnight & he had a quick listen – then I drove back to collect it.
He says the album plays well apart from that one scratch
on “Stairway to heaven” – doesn’t actually jump but has
an quite audible click as the needle passes over
the scratch, that lasts for the first 3rd of the track . *****
