Description
Led Zeppelin, Led Zep II, Orig UK G/fld LP, Lemon Song Credit, VG+.
Original red & plum Atlantic issue LP, the unlaminated light brown first issue gatefold cover is in very good+ condition, with only some light rubbing around the edges & corners, with some light ring wear on the rear cover (see pics). The plain inner is intact and in excellent condition.
The record is in visually very good condition with some evidence of being played, including quite a few hair lines visible under bright light from being removed from its sleeve & a few light surface marks on each side that do not affect play. The labels are clean and bright with evidence of a few spindle markings, overall the record still retains its original sheen and looks great.
The sound reproduction is still excellent throughout with no skips, sticks or jumps & only a little background surface noise on the run ins and in a couple of the quieter passages.
The matrix nos. are hand etched, not stamped like most issues, 588-198-A, stampers 1-P KT & 588-198-B, stampers 1-O KT.
This is a very early pressing of the original UK stereo issue of this album, with the light brown fold out E J Day sleeve with the additional 'Uptightan' outtasight' fan club address on the inside cover. The side 1 label credits the lemon song to all four band members, but the side 2 lovin' wreck credit of the very first pressings, has been corrected to lovin' maid (see pics). A very unusual and early pressing!!!!

All grades are as per the Record Collector Guide, i try to err on the conservative side of grading at all times. All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!!
