Pressed on 180g light blue coloured vinyl, this pressing by AVA Editions features the incredible performance from Kezar Stadium in San Francisco, 1973. Includes the entire KMPX-FM radio broadcast. Also includes replica A2 concert poster, and background notes and archival imagery. All housed in a hand-numbered trifold sleeve #263. Professionally re-mastered.
On the afternoon of Saturday, June 2 1973 Led Zeppelin played to a crowd estimated at 49,300 in San Francisco’s Kezar Stadium, shattering the attendance record set by Grand Funk Railroad in 1971 and grossing well over $300,000. After a lengthy wait, the patient hordes were amply rewarded by a barnstorming performance covering many of their greatest songs to date. Originally broadcast on KMPX-FM, the full set is presented here in excellent fidelity, together with background notes and images, and replica concert poster.
