In the summer of '69 Led Zeppelin set out to conquer the U.S.A. Playing a string of festival gigs, the band turned down Woodstock, but they did top the bill at the Texas International Pop Festival. The American audience was treated to Zep’s fresh take on blues classics with heavy guitars and driving drums. 'Dazed and Confused' was an important part of Led Zeppelin's live show in these early years, and became a vehicle for group improvisation, resulting in an almost 15 minute long version on this vinyl release.
