This is the ridiculously rare and out of print audiophile Classic records FIRST PRESSING of Led Zeppelin Physical Graffiti 2LP. It was never played, only opened to verify that it did not have any factory warps or scratches. If you’re looking at this auction, you already know that Classic records mastered and pressed the definitive analog of each Led Zeppelin album under the supervision of Jimmy Page. They were pressed on Quiex SV super vinyl, and the sound is simply mind blowing. What you may not know is that the first pressing of each record was issued on 180 gram vinyl, before all later pressings were changed to 200 gram to streamline Classic Records' process (the rest of their catalog was 200 gram). Although it may seem to be a tiny difference in terms actual weight, the sonic difference between a first pressing and later pressings can be huge as a stamper degrades with each press. I have never seen the 180 gram first pressings on eBay, as they were all snapped up by collectors like me in preorder. No pressing will ever sound as good as this first pressing, and you will probably never see one on eBay again. Not only am I sure that this is the first pressing because I preordered it personally, but the slight weight difference can be verified on a scale, and can be felt by a skilled collector when holding it. Even Classic records later pressings are very rare and expensive, but this first pressing is so rare that it would be the crown jewel of any audiophile Led Zeppelin collection.
