The cover, inside sleeve and back of the album features various images of people with a black obelisk-shaped object. Inside the album sleeve, the item is referred to simply as "The Object" aka "The Obelisk". It was intended to represent the "force and presence" of Led Zeppelin, and is intended to ape the brilliant 2001 A Space Odyessey

Vinyl condition*: VG

Labels: Nice and clean. hardly any trace of spindle wear. Bright and clean colours

Spindle hole: Nice and clean

Playing surface: A lovely clean copy with just the slighest of play wear under strong light, and a small little nick to side 2 which registers 4 little clicks end of track 1, start of track 2, otherwise this would be a higher grade. 

Run Off: Lovely & clean, with a couple of feint marks

Sound*: EX

After listening right through this album, the sound has great depth, range of sound and clarity. Nice loud press with no skips or jumps and just 4 little clicks

Overall its a excellent sounding copy

Cover & sleeve*: NM

Spine: Near perfect with a few slight bumps to the surface. Lovely & flat

Seams: Near perfect top & bottom

Opening: Very straight, no damage at all

Front Cover: 1 tiny black mark near opening edge, small black smudge top left corner otherwise its really clean and in excellent condition

Back Cover: Apart from a few small smudges its near perfect

Gatefold area: Super clean, with crisp print and colours. It looks lovely though

Sleeve: The textured inner is near perfect. 

Overall a really nice copy with loud sound and detail. The vinyl looks superb. The cover is near perfect.

VINYL GRADE DESCRIPTION GUIDE

MINT (M): A perfect record that looks like it has just left the factory, with NO flaws what so ever looking as though it had never been handled. No scuffs or scratches, blotches or stains.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record appears virtually flawless at first glance and has a great luster. It should only have very minor scuffs or marks on the surface of the vinyl, which are only visible under strong light. It should play without any noise particularly over the flaw. 

EXCELLENT (EX): A record with only minor scuffs, which are only slightly visible. There may be more than a few scuffs or marks. It should play without any noise over the flaw.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record shows wear which could include surface scuffs and marks, blotches or stains. The vinyl still has a great luster, but the flaws will be noticeable to the naked eye. The flaws may cause some surface noise. 

A plus (+) or (-) following the condition indicate variations of the condition i.e. VG+ is in slightly better condition than VG but not excellent.

SLEEVE & INSERTS GRADE DESCRIPTION GUIDE

MINT (M): The cover is free of any stickers, address labels, writing or labels. There are no tears or seam splits or wear / fading to the cover. The age of the record has not affected the condition. The cover, sleeve and any inserts (posters, stickers, lyric sheets) look brand new.

NEAR MINT (NM): The cover looks as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and or age.

EXCELLENT (EX): The artwork is still as close to perfect as can be. There may be some impressions to the cover (minor outer ring wear) but no dis-colouration. It may have some slight creases to the corners, but no major wrinkling, holes or other damage. 

VERY GOOD (VG): The artwork looks clean but with slightly more wear. This could include some fading due to minor sun damage, but there will be know no stains or mildew from water damage. Some minor wear to the seams or spine, but no tears or holes popping through.

A plus (+) or (-) following the condition indicate variations of the condition i.e. VG+ is in slightly better condition than VG but not excellent.

Packaged well using high quality card mailers. Each disc is placed in a plain sleeve to avoid seam splits during transit. The cover is placed in a 450g clear sleeve, with card stiffeners placed either side to protect the package.
