Sleeve Condition: VG+
Notes: Of 8 known 'plum' label variants, this is the 8th. Specific to this label variant are:
1. 'Marketed by Polydor Records Limited' at 6 o'clock on labels.
2. 'Under license from Atlantic Recording Corp.' in white area under ATLANTIC on left side.
3. LED ZEPPELIN is printed above spindle hole
4. Catalogue number at 3 o'clock above circular Atlantic logo reads 'deluxe 2401012'
5. There is no Peter Grant credit, and song publishing credits are: Kinney Music Ltd./Superhype Music Inc.
6. Track B1 is credited on B-side label as "Misty Mountain Hop"
The vinyl has seen some play time and there are numerous hairlines with a little surface noise in the intros. and one of the scratches on Side 1, Track 3 is feelable and causes a heavy click on my deck but only for a couple of seconds. There is a possibility that on a different set up it could produce a skip - the only reason for the G+ grading. Side 2 plays VG+. All in all a decent copy with great reproduction. The gatefold sleeve has some sticker damage as can be seen in the photos and some corner wear - apart form that it is unmarked inside and out. There is a sticker on the back for K 50008 - this was quite normal for this issue at the time in transition from the previous numbering system. It comes in a plain white inner sleeve - hence the discounted price. Matrix:

I don't often sell albums that are graded below VG - usually only when they are quite rare examples. With albums of G+ or less grading which are typically very well played and scratched, I have found it impossible to assess whether a scratch results in a click or a jump as it depends what set up you have. I will still make every effort to point out where feelable scratches are present.
