Up for auction is one Led Zeppelin Tangible Vandalism two record set. Comes from my personal collection.
I've read online that some of these versions have live recordings on them, as far as I can tell from just skimming through it all I heard it was outtakes from the physical graffiti recording session. If you're a Led Zeppelin fan this is very interesting as you can hear how the recording process works for the band and how the songs came together. I've had this in my collection for about 25 years. Here's a review I found online;
This is a collection of studio out takes and in some cases home recordings made with a cassette tape,so there is a variable difference in sound quality. What are the best soundwise are the overdubs, Custard Pie is what Jimmy heard while he did his guitar overdubs and solos this is what was in his headphones it mixed and ready to go.The Wanton song is said to be from a rehearsal during the 73 tour.The 10 years gone sounds like Page out his house with a cassette recorder as hes working out the melodies..this is some real behind the scenes stuff love when he double tracks the guitar this is the bones and germation of a songs structure. Another Page home tape is Bron y aur which you can hear a baby in the background and some low singing the same can be said for Down by the seaside with addition of Plant which has a Neil Young feel to it,Kashmir is the original studio take of Bonzo and Page Jam that was probably played to Plant and Jones this is the bones of the song that you never hear because of the overdubs.SwanSong or later called midnight moonlight, was Page in the studio working on a piece he brought from home not knowing if it was going to be a instrumental or not(13 years later it got lyrics).In my time of dying is great you can hear Bonzo explaining to Plant about music and beats and that Bonzo knew his stuff explaining the difference between that song and black dog,telling him he off by half a beat. Then there are some studio jams like sick again that have some lyrics and the rover intro.Sorry to get carried away but this is a great companion to the recording of in my opinion The greatest ever made.
The cover is in good very good shape and the records are VG to NM. Please see the pictures closely before bidding.
