Description

An original 1st press from 1976 on UK Swan Song. Matrix A/B/C/D. Etching "EG". Label layout is spot on for genuine 1st press. The vinyl comes housed in an original textured and embossed cover. This is the original heavy-card cover with photo pages in the interior and mention of 'made in england' on the back page. The 1st copies arrived with quality inner sleeves with thumb lip at the top. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In marvellous condition and has only seen lightest use. Under close inspection I can't make out more than a couple of slight marks per side - certainly nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with two slight deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Don't short change yourself on this title. There are plenty of copies out there - but let me assure you that manufacturing quality is way better on the early copies. Insist on early. Insist on pristine. Why compromise on one of the best bands in history? The performance by Zeppelin in superb and a quality copy is gong to do a fab job of revealing all that frenetic guitar work by Page. Plays with bags of energy and also a lovely quiet background for this lowkey moody sequences. CLEAN into those super fussy numbers like RAIN & No QTR. All I could make out was a couple of crackles in a couple of brief spots in the extended MOBY. And one solitary tick in the intro to 'No QTR'. That was about it and that was al very minor and fleeting. An absolute banger - pretty much perfect. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition - very few copies will be looking this darn smart. That cover is exceptionally solid - you could eat your dinner of it. That front surface is in impeccable condition with no signs of wear, ageing, or light fade. All I can make out is one minor crease top right [hardly worth mentioning]. The rear is equally good and looking far far better than you typically find. The interior looks superb with no signs of use and the photo pages look great and haven't been heavily thumbed. Very little edge wear observable and sharp firm openings. The spine is 100% intact is looking very smart indeed. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity in part thanks to the heavy card employed in manufacture. 
Inner (Ex) Very little wear. One inner has a one inch side split. I tape repaired it internally and it is practically invisible to the eye now.
