Led Zeppelin –  The Soundtrack From The Film The Song Remains The Same

Taiwan, 1978

This type of Taiwanese records was pressed for and sold at the US/OZ military bases in the Pacific during and right after the Vietnam war. They are funny to collect. Given the period they were produced and played they are usually not in great condition, but this one is excellent.

The labels are a real beauty, totally different from the other countries and often include funny typos.

These pressings where legal in Taipei because there was no copyright law, the labels were in most of the cases licensed by the government’s information ministry but they didn’t pay rights to the Western labels.

Lovely collectable pressings and a testimony of a troubled period when troops tried to keep their spirit high thanks to their beloved music.

I have two variations from sale: this one does not have a pressing date (see the similar "type 1" for sale) on the lower central part of the labels and but has the phone number on the bottom right of the cover’s back.

Condition is:

VG+/VG+

_______________

Unfortunately, for the time being I’m unable to accept orders from US buyers due to the current tariff complications. Australia Post suspended US shipments for a period and has only recently resumed them through a partner service that is both costly and cumbersome.

If you are interested in any of my records for sale, you can still purchase them by using a parcel-forwarding service that provides you with an Australian delivery address (then you self forward to your home address). I’ve used this method for many years. Some examples include Shop&Ship, ausff.com.au, and shippn.com, though there are certainly others. Please check their shipping and import fees, as costs can vary significantly.

Shipping costs: ASK FOR SHIPPING COST TO YOUR COUNTRY IF NOT DISPLAYED

I can apply shipping discounts in case of multiple records combined into one shipment.

I will ship the records outside from their original cover and printed inner sleeve to deliver them in their best condition. Everything will be bubble wrapped and shipped in special record box.
I use to ask to receive my new records (originally sealed) outside of their original sleeve, so feel free to ask me for this service on new records too.
