Up for bid is this ORIGINAL 1969 OUTSTANDING UNPLAYED 1st pressing of Led Zeppelin ll Robert Ludwig mastered "Hot Pressing" cat# SD 8236 on the Atlantic record label. For those who don't already know this is a very rare ORIGINAL 1st pressing that was quickly withdrawn because stereo cartridges of the day could not handle the extra bass from this "Hot Pressing" and would skip. So many people were returning these that the Atlantic Record Company had to repress them with a milder pressing. The stereo cartridges of today have no problem playing this pressing today. If you have never heard this pressing before you don't realize what you are missing. This is the best sounding pressing of this LP that is available.
What makes this copy so rare is that the vinyl is UNPLAYED accept for my test play. The vinyl is in MINT- CONDITION with MINT- audio. Both sides have RL in the dead wax area and one side has SS (Sterling Sound) in the dead wax.
The labels are MINT with NO SPINDLE MARKS
The original Atlantic Records inner sleeve is in excellent condition
The brown bomber cover is in VG++ condition with some light corner wear, a couple of bumped corners and some yellowing of the white at the spine. All of this can be seen in my pictures.
Don't pass up the opportunity to own one of the best sounding copies of this LP that are available today. You will have search very hard to find a better copy of this mega rare LP.
