I have graded the records I am selling according to my best fair judgement of their condition. To make things simple – both sleeve and record are given one score, which reflects the collective condition of both sleeve and record together.
My grading system is as follows:
Excellent: Sleeve and/or record are in great condition, with minimal marks or scratches that could affect playability
Very good: Sleeve and/or record have some small occasional noticeable marks and/or minor scratches
Good: Sleeve and/or record have frequent small marks and/or minor scratches - appropriate to the age of the item
Fair: Sleeve and/or record have frequent noticeable marks and/or minor scratches and dust – appropriate to the age of the item
Poor: Sleeve and record are both worn, with significant noticeable marks, scratches and dust
