Lee Hazelwood one sided Metal acetate 12" 78
I Want Some Lovin' Blank LabelThis song was recorded on 4/29/1955 for 4 Star label, and probably never released. Lee was not even 16 years old!
On dead wax and old sleeve it has written OP-357-H This also comes with 1) A letter from 4 Star Records to Lee Hazelwood at radio station KRUX in Phoenix Arizona dated 5/9/55 with the songwriter's contract for this song 2) Agreement form sent to Lee Hazelwood that he would receive 1 cent royalty for each of the 90% of the records sold. This agreement dated 4/20/55 is signed by Lee Hazelwood as well as his witness Duane Eddy, who's written address on the form was 324 S. First Street in Coolidge Arizona. 3) A company song list letter showing the 4 song titles written by Lee and assigned to Four Star Records
Barton Lee Hazlewood (July 9, 1929 – August 4, 2007) was an American country and pop singer, songwriter, and record producer, most widely known for his work with guitarist Duane Eddy during the late 1950s and singer Nancy Sinatra in the 1960s and 1970s. His collaborations with Sinatra as well as his solo output in the late 1960s and early 1970s have been praised as an essential contribution to a sound often described as "cowboy psychedelia" or "saccharine underground". Rolling Stone ranked Lee Hazlewood & Nancy Sinatra No. 9 on its list of the 20 Greatest Duos of All Time.
The playing grooves of this acetate start 1/3 into the record and in Mint- condition. There are a couple chips on the edge, long before playing grooves. It must have stood in 4 Star studio warehouse untouched and unplayed for over 65 years. A truly one of a kind rarity!!!
