Lee Morgan Leeway - Analogue Productions 2lp 45RPM Edition. This copy is SEALED and near mint, #2016. What a band: Mr. PC Paul Chambers on bass, the WAY underrated Jackie McLean on alto, Bobby Timmons on piano, and one of the true giants of jazz, Art Blakey on drums. Another essential title in Lee Morgan's discography - crank it up!! Here's your chance to get this out of print rarity at a fair market price!
Condition: There is a corner crease in the upper right front/upper left rear (please see Pictures 4 and 5). It's not obvious, and actually hard to see in certain lights, but it's there: approximately 2.5 inches across, and at most about 1 inch from the top of the cover to the end of the crease).
ABOUT 45 RPM PRESSINGS While some folks don't like the 45 RPM format (yes, you do have to get up and change sides more often), it's not hype: with more vinyl real estate for your stylus to operate within, volume levels are maintained consistently across all tracks (with 33 1/3, as you get closer to the inner groove you will lose volume because the grooves get smaller), and there's LOTS more room for the bass frequencies. A mastering engineer has to juggle all these factors, usually leading to certain compromises, when pressing at 33 1/3. The common wisdom in the audiophile community is that, when done well, 45 rpm pressings are as close as you'll get to the master tape.
