Lee Morgan "Search For The New Land"

Although it was recorded in 1964, the album was shelved for two years, issued in 1966 // 1st pressing  // not a reissue 

Blue Note Records // BLP - 4169  mono Blue & white label reads: New York, USA "Van Gelder" imprinted in deadwax  no "ear" thick cardboard cover is not laminated cover


COVER: VG+

no splits, but corner and cover show wear on both sides

definite staining in bottom corner of front cover

ring wear and staining evident on back cover 


Vinyl: VG++ 

very light 2-inch scratch on Side #1 

several light scuffs, and hairlines on both sides of vinyl, especially side #1 which is very scuffy

record rates a solid 8.0 on a 10 point scale

no spindle marks on labels

vinyl plays well with little or no background noise
