Lee Morgan Sextet

Blue Note 161 Lexington Ave., BLP 1541, 1956. 12", 33 rpm. Rare.

Original mono 1956 Blue Note, 161 Lexington Ave, NYC, deep groove copy of The Lee Morgan Sextet. There are three scratches that are visible and that you can feel (one on each of the first two cuts on side 1 and one on the first cut of side 2), but this vinyl weighs about half a pound and it plays through. There is low surface noise consistently, but the overall sound is still strong. Some former chucklehead owner wrote four names in light, spidery handwriting on back cover (see jpeg) and same on label (see jpeg). Cover has rubbing/chipping at corners, chipping, but no seam splits at top, and a seven inch seamsplit at the bottom.
