Description

This is the original deep-groove, RVG-stamped “P”-pressing of Lee Morgan “The Cooker” on the West 63rd Street (no “INC”) labels of Blue Note BLP 1578. The record plays crisply throughout with the only audible wear being a scratch between Track 1 and 2 on Side 2 that lightly tics at the beginning of Track 2. The laminated West 63rd St. cover shows moderate shelf wear an on the back slick; seam wear has been professionally repaired and restored to a remarkable degree, as follows: top seam, ¼” at the opening, 3” at the center, and ½” at the spine; spine, 2” at the top; bottom seam, 1 ½” at the opening. Personnel include Pepper Adams, Bobby Timmons, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL. Please do not bid unless you are comfortable providing credit card information directly.
