Description
Original deep-groove pressing of Lee Morgan "Introducing" on the red and silver labels of Savoy MG 12091. The playing surface is in very nearly new condition - bright and clean - with a high luster; perhaps played once or twice. The laminated cover has a extraordinary photo of Lee on the front; the back shows very slight shelf wear; the spine has 3/8" wear at the top and slight wear at the bottom; the bottom seam has ¼" wear at the opening. This recording was made on November 5, 1956, just one day after Lee's first session as a leader, on Blue Note 1538. Personnel includes Hank Mobley, Doug Watkins and Art Taylor.
