Les Beatles, Chansons du Film “Help” LP 1966 ~ Import (France), Stereo, Odeon LSO 104, 12” 33⅓ RPM Vinyl LP

For auction is the Beatles album Chansons du Film “Help”, released by Odeon in 1966. An import from France, the first side has six songs from the movie. The seven songs on the other side were not from the movie.

Overall condition: There is a sad looking scratch on the first side but I played the record and it affects the sound not at all. It also doesn’t  look at bad to the eye as it does in the picture. There is also a light horizontal line on the front cover of the album, I guess from handling. It is just visible in the picture in the listing. The rest of the cover is immaculate. I rate the package as a whole in Very Good+ (VG+) condition due to the above two slight faults.

Record condition: 

Aside from the one scratch mentioned above, there is nothing at all wrong on this record. There is no warp at all. The record has that knife-sharp fell that comes with a new record. This record is in Very Good+ (VG+) condition.

Record cover condition: There is light horizontal line mentioned above (in the paragraph “Overall condition”. In fact, I wonder if that didn’t happen in manufacturing. The back, the corners and the edges look like this cover has  never been handled at all. I say this album cover is in Very Good+ (VG+) condition.

Inner Sleeve condition: This is original with the album. It has a beach scene which could have been in the movie. The bottom of the sleeve looks like it has been in high humidity, somehow. I feel it is fair to grade this sleeve in Near Mint (NM) condition.
