This unique French 'Greatest Hits' album dates from September 1965 and is one of their most sought after worldwide rarities

It is on the dark blue & silver Odeon label: OSX 231

Matrix numbers: CBS OSX 231/LPL 3585 380 & CBS OSX 231/LPL 3586 D1 380

Vinyl weight: 171g

Housed in a fully laminated bi-flipback cover showing the Beatles on horseback in Missouri during their 1964 U.S. tour

Labels: EXCELLENT

Both are clean & undamaged with just a trace of wear around each centre hole

Visual: GOOD

Both playing surfaces are clean but bear a number of light marks and hairlines consistent with frequent play. The only feelable scratch is on track 1 of side 1, but this does not affect play

Sound Quality: VERY GOOD

This copy plays much better than it looks and the only noticeable audible wear is some light background between tracks and on the opening chord of 'I Feel Fine'. There are no jumps, repeats or any other major audible distractions anywhere

Cover: VERY GOOD +

A respectable example of this attractive cover which retains a clean front panel bearing some moderate storagwear rubbing but no major faults. There is minor wear to the corners & a 1cm tear to the rear opening edge, however both seams are unstressed & unsplit

The rear panel is clean overall with the usual age-toning, but both flipbacks are intact and in-place

The spine is fully intact with a clean and readable text
