Description

About This Record.  This is the super rare 10" LP on Aladdin Records (Aladdin LP 705) by the Lester Young Trio, which included Lester Young, King Cole and Red Callender.  I bought it 25 years ago and it has been sleeved since then, and I keep thinking I might start to like jazz . . . Yes, it is the original blue label.

Songs include: Tea for Two, I Can't Get Started, Body and Soul, and Indiana.  Classic Jazz here

Cover Condition.  The cover is a strong VG with just slight overall wear.  NO seam splits but corner wear on 3 corners (including well worn top right corner), and one 1/2 inch part of the back cover slick at the bottom corner is torn and ready to fall off (but can be easily repaired if so desired).  No attempt has been made to mess with the cover.  It has a stamp in small red ("F Kowamoto" top right corner, and "3.50" written in pencil top left corner (removable).

Vinyl Condition. Looks VG+, but plays VG to VG+ because there is some background noise in places.  No feelable scratches with my sensitive finger; most importantly, there are no marks that look like I would want to feel them with my little finger.  Due to the age of the recording, and I guess some older styluses that were used during the few careful plays, and maybe the recording, there is just a slight bit of background noise in places.  Still very enjoyable.  No real problem areas, just occasional clicks and pops.  Labels are near mint.   Songs on both sides recorded in 1942.

Grading Vinyl.  I use modified Goldmine grading standards.  Mint/NM/VG+/VG/VG-/G+/G.  On rare occasions I may use VG++.  I DO NOT use the EX grade!  My VG+ is EX to EX+, and my VG is EX-.  I grade conservatively; look at my feedback!   I play grade my vinyl with an MC Ruby 3 Micro Benz cartridge.  I do not alter the records, covers, or labels with pens, tape, glue or other stuff.  When I notice such damage, I point it out in detail!
