Original 1962 MONO Pressing. Arguably, the holy grail for Lightnin’ Hopkins fans...
This LP is visually, as well as play graded.
Media = Side 1 visually is EX, and plays EX, as well. A few light storage scuffs and playback was beautiful with no surface noise, or skips. Awesome!
Side 2 is VG+ visually, but also plays EX. There is one significant mark on side 2 that I have provided a picture of at the top. It is a scuff and cannot be felt with a fingertip, and is not audible upon playback.
Both sides of this LP are clean, shiny, and glossy. My grade is conservative; they really don’t get much nicer than this.
Sleeve = VG+. Very light general wear. Former owner has put scotch tape along the top, and bottom of the sleeve. It seems as though it was a tad much; under the tape there appears to be a one inch split on the bottom right hand side of the sleeve, and a 2.5 inch split on the top middle of the sleeve, from improper storage. This can be seen underneath the tape. There is also some creasing in the top right hand corner; please check out the pics!
Overall this baby is gorgeous, and playback is amazing...It was a pleasure to listen to, and play grade this.
