Lightnin' Hopkins - Early Recordings
USA Original Issue Mono Arhoolie Label LP from 1963.
Really nice copy of this Lightnin Hopkins LP, featuring some of his earliest and best recordings, on the collectible Arhoolie label this has the earliest half moon design with a deep groove.
The original USA paste on wrap around designed cover is solid and other than a minor scuff to the middle left edge is in top condition, a great example.
The vinyl is graded Excellent+ and is very clean, it has been played a few times but remains in near perfect condition. There is some background noise but that is the 1940's/50's early recordings coming through and definitely not the vinyl which is superb.
poly-lined inner sleeve is excellent.
For me Lightnin hopkins was the greatest blues / country blues artist of all time and every recording he made is of the highest order and well worth collecting, this is a really good and solid example of some of his earliest recordings and as such is worth buying.
