Description
Like many who queued outside HMV stores on Saturday morning I was disappointed not to get my first choices only to find them listed on eBay and Discogs at 2-3x the price even before 9am…the ‘scalpers’ had been busy.
Once in store I picked this up as I really like their album “Songs for the Deaf”, I didn’t know this but after a brief listen I decided its not for me.
Both discs have been cleaned in a GLÅSS Audiodesk to remove any static and pressing residues and I have put them in plain paper sleeves as there was a fair bit of static pull from the picture inners.
I have only played the first 2 sides on a top end Rega deck, the second disc is unplayed.
As I have had to pay double for the record I really wanted I’ve decided to let this one go for the price I paid for it.
Although the shrink wrap is gone you have the advantage of a professionally cleaned album and I will include a good quality poly outer bag.
This is certainly a good sounding pressing, dynamic, full of depth and no surface noise to mention (helped by the fact it was cleaned prior to playing)
I will use a good quality (recycled) mailer and I’m only charging what I will pay for the postage.
