Description
Limited Edition hand made "Rolling Thunder Revue" Bob Dylan
Inspiration
This Bob based on Rolling Thunder Revue Era around 1975.
Specifications
Bob is around 12 inches tall, or around 32 centimeters to the top of his head. He is knitted with double knit acrylic yarn and stuffed with Polyester stuffing.
He has a wire frame and is posable.
Rolling Thunder Bob will come in a box with a signed, numbered Limited Edition Certificate, Number 8 of 10.
These dolls are completely handmade and unique.
Processes
I first knitted the body and arms with double knit acrylic yarn. I sewed him up and padded him out with polyester stuffing around a wire frame.
Bob is wearing a white shirt, black waistcoat, blue and red jacket with cream fur collar, blue jeans with a gold buckle and a grey scarf. His hair made of brown curly yarn. He has a grey hat with flowers.
His acoustic guitar is completely handmade. I used felt and applied very stiff iron-on interfacing to the front and back of the neck and front of the guitar body. I used silver embroidery thread to sew the strings on with a sewing machine, and sewed a side panel to give it depth. The guitar is filled with firm foam and the back is hand sewn. I also hand sewed a vintage braid strap.
There is around 12 hours work in the making of each figure, from start to finish.
